Weybridge Rotary is thrilled to announce that our upcoming Charity Golf Day will be dedicated to a cause that hits close to home for many in our community: Crossroads Care Surrey.

Respite for unpaid carers
Behind closed doors across our county, thousands of unpaid carers provide 24/7 support for loved ones living with disabilities, dementia, or long-term illness. It is a noble, demanding, and often invisible role. Crossroads Care Surrey acts as the essential lifeline these individuals need, providing high-quality, professional respite care.

Keeping families together
By stepping in to look after a loved one, the charity allows ‘hidden heroes’ the chance to recharge, whether that’s attending their own medical appointments, catching up on sleep, or simply enjoying a much-needed coffee with a friend. This support is vital in preventing carer burnout and keeping families together.

As Rotarians, we believe in ‘Service Above Self’, but even the most dedicated servers need a helping hand. Our golf day isn’t just about perfecting that elusive swing; it’s about ensuring no carer in Surrey has to walk their path alone. Every registration and sponsorship helps fund more hours of care. Join us on the greens to support a charity that keeps the heartbeat of our community strong.

We are pleased to be planning a Charity Golf Day at Foxhills on Friday 28 August 2026.

We have now received the initial event details, and this is shaping up to be a great day of golf, fundraising and club support.

Event details

The event requires a minimum of 16 players, which would make up 4 teams, with space for up to 5 teams in total.

Outline day

09:00 Guest arrival, with breakfast and range warm-up

10:00 Golf begins

14:40 Players begin to return from the course

15:30 Sandwiches and chips served

16:30 Event ends

Fundraising

To maximise our impact, a portion of every ticket fee goes directly to our charity. We encourage all participants to further boost this total through additional fundraising. We’d be grateful for any additional support.

Taking part

We would be delighted to hear from any other golfers who would like to get involved. This is intended to be a welcoming and enjoyable day, and no elite standard is required.
